Quilt Care

A few suggested ways to clean and care for your quilt:

Bring the quilt outside and air it out to give it a refresh. Keep the quilt out of direct sunlight.

To remove light dust, cover the hose of a vacuum with a nylon stocking or use the soft brush attachment to gently vacuum the quilt.

The quilt can be soaked in a tub of cool water. If you need to use a detergent chose a mild, natural and pH neutral detergent. Some natural dyes are sensitive and changes in pH can affect their color. Lay the quilt flat to dry - quilts are very heavy when wet and hanging the quilt will put strain on the stitching.

You can also bring the quilt to a professional cleaner. Do not put the quilt in a washing machine or a dryer.

Jewelry Care

Store your jewelry in a dry place, out of direct sunlight if it has a fiber element. Avoid wearing jewelry in the shower or swimming with it.

Jewelry can be cleaned with a soft polishing cloth. Fringe and tassels can be maintained with gentle combing.
